Interventional GI Endoscopy


COURSE OBJECTIVES of Interventional GI Endoscopy

  • to provide the necessary knowledge to make some progress in the field of gastrointestinal interventional endoscopy
  • to describe the technical steps which are used for advanced endoscopic procedures
  • to describe results and potential complications, and how to prevent them
  • to practice on live tissue in order to give the participant the technical capacity to improve his/her expertise.

Educational methods of Interventional GI Endoscopy

Interactive theoretical and video sessions between Faculty and course participants; live operative demonstrations from the laboratory (Endoscopic Mucosal Resection - EMR, Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection)
Hands-on training on live tissue (mini-pigs) in experimental lab.
